The grid has been paid for many times over who are they trying to kid. They always want make it sound like electricity is scarce commodity like the fake gas shortage in the seventies the oil producers like Rockefeller or exon mobil or standard oil what ever you want to call him he hoaxed us all so he could jack up fuel cost. They the corporations have been raping the public for all they can forever. People who have solar panels rightly should pay less and the utility companies profit from solar power put into the grid at peak hours of the day when its hot and Air conditioners clothes dryers, machinery and tvs are going and the solar helps relieve the extra load. They do well from the solar now they just are using word game to make it sound like solar powered homes are bad. Just a play on words to have some excuse to stick it solar producing customers. They should be sued for lying  Angryabout the grid not being paid for. They just want to rip everyone off thats all.  Undecided$$$ It is GREED!$$$  Cry

It's a fact that power companies hate solar!

"The utilities say solar customers are paying so little that they don't cover their share of the cost of maintaining the grid"

"One change utilities have proposed is to credit solar customers for the power they feed into the grid at the wholesale rate, which is much lower than the retail rate—or at least to credit them at some rate in between the two. Another would be to charge all customers a monthly fee to cover utilities' fixed costs. "
