The working behind a solar system.

Solar energy, which is also often called "solar power", is energy which comes from the Sun in two forms of radiation: heat and light. These two forms of radiation are generated from the fusion of helium and hydrogen inside the Sun. Humans on Earth can capture this radiation and use it for their daily energy needs.
Each of these two forms of solar energy requires the manufacture of two separate types of solar panels. One is called a "solar collector" which is used to heat water and then store it in a tank for distribution when needed. The other kind of panel is called a "solar panel", or more formally, a "photovoltaic panel". Solar panels collect the light radiation from the Sun and convert it into direct current electricity, which can then be converted to alternating current using an inverter.
