E-cat cold fusion device operates for 35 minutes without external energy input
Sep 24th, 2011 at 1:45am

"At the new test, the E-cat was first run for 90 minutes assisted with a thermal electric power input of 2.6 kilowatts. The electric power was then cut off and the E-cat continued to operate for 35 minutes without external energy input. The test was subsequently terminated at our request, for practical reasons and time constraints. It would otherwise have continued, and according to Rossi the electrical resistance would then have been switched in at full power for ten minutes after each time interval of 30 minutes with self-sustained operation."

Chairman of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences' Energy Committee, and chairman of the Swedish Skeptics Society observe a test of the Rossi device and agree that the effect is real.

Rossi device tested for 18 hours at U. Bologna. Given the size and weight of the device, this rules out a chemical source of energy. Rossi and U. Bologna have announced that tests on the device will continue for a year.

"this time we loaded the unit with hydrogen at the beginning, and then the bottle was closed. It then worked for 18 hours with the bottle closed. Quite impressive.”

“I weighed container before and after charging, and including the gas we let out to empty the tube of air, the consumption of hydrogen was 0.4 grams. That’s nothing!”

“Minimum power was 15 kilowatts, and that’s a conservative value. I calculated it several times. At night we did a measurement and the device then worked very stable and produced 20 kilowatts.”

“Now that I have seen the device work for so many hours, in my view all chemical energy sources are excluded,” said Giuseppe Levi.
